Snow and Crochet

What beautiful snow! My sisters and I are planning to go out and play this afternoon, and I'll be sure to take pictures:)
I decided last night that I am going to learn how to crochet. I have been knitting for, oh, maybe a little over two years, but I have never learned to crochet. We have a couple crochet books (but, of course, last night I could only find one) and my grandma crochets and I know a couple other people who do, so if all else fails I can find someone to help me. I did a little this morning, and it looks okay, but not perfect. Of course, when I first learned to knit, it took me about a week to learn to cast on:)

I think I'm just "computer dumb"...

I can't believe that I hadn't figured this out before, because it's really cool. If you Google something, like "Van Gogh", you can find images of work by Van Gogh. Then if you right click on, say, a picture of Starry Night, you can choose "Save picture as". Then you can save it in My Pictures and bluetooth it to your cell phone or parents cell phone or any random cell phone that might be within reach;-) Here are some of the pictures I have on my phone;-)

One of my favorite works by Van Gogh, possibly my absolute favorite:)

Monet...I thought it was pretty, and it's my current phone wallpaper.

It looks really neat:)

A nice weirdo

So tonight during dinner, I was doing something silly/stupid, and Meredith said,
"You're a weirdo."

Then mom answered, "But she's a nice weirdo."

As Christians, we are in the world, be we aren't OF the world. So we are supposed to be weirdos. Don't be afraid to be a weirdo. But be a nice weirdo:-)

"If you belonged to the world, it would love you as it's own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you."-John 15:19

Excitment for Today...

So I just figured out how to send pictures from my cell phone to my computer viz Bluetooth...(it took me a while; I think I just dumb when it comes to these things!) Here's the picture that prompted me to figure it out:-).
I wanted to get it on my computer so that I could use it for a profile pitcure on Facebook, a bio picture for shows, etc:-) Plus, I just like the picture. I took it at my Grandma's house, and then edited the lighting a little while it was on my phone.

Apologies, joys, and anticipations!

First, I am sorry that I have not yet posted any pictures from my mission trip. My camera is only compatable with my mom's laptop and I think that I lost the software...all that said, Mom's laptop has all of my pictures on it, and most of the time I write from my computer.

Now for the joy: I found my retainer! I lost it (well, actually it was only the bottom half) about a week and a half ago. Mom called the orthodontist and they said, well, it costs too much to replace on a whim just because I couldn't find it. So I decided to look again, and much to my joy, I found it in the very back of a shelf on my desk. Anyway, hope this post doesn't gross you out or bore you to death, but it's what's happening and I am

We started rehearsals for the Pirates of Penzance! I was working on some of my music this morning and found it odd that the word that I was having the most trouble with the notes is on the word "gaily", because I am (was) not very happy or gay with the fact that the notes were giving me trouble. I think I've figured it out now, and I go around singing "Greet them gAAAAAAAAILY as they fly" over and over and I'm sure I am driving my family insane:-).
